|Description:||Assigned to a small to large project to handle Document Management tasks and routine clerical work under the close supervision of a Project Lead. Responsible for completing specific areas of a special assignment under the guidance of a more experienced Document Controller. Accepts detailed instructions on such assignments and exercises limited judgment in referring unusual problems to the Lead. Carefully reviews own work and the work of others on the same project. |
Essential Job Functions:
Receive and distribute technical data packages from both internal/external parties using prescribed methods and practices.
Manage the exchange of official and unofficial Project Information. Converts hard copies into an electronic version if required.
Basic data entry and document processing utilizing Electronic Data Management System.
Consistently perform Quality Checks on data received, processed information and stored files.
Responsible for aiding in the compilation and production of project information electronic data and/or hard copies when necessary.
Assist with archival processing under the direction of Document Control Lead.
Frequent interaction with Department Lead for the project.
Supports the Project Information Manager needs as required.
Stays current in practices and procedures with participation in department training.
|Qualifications:||High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic typing skills and knowledge of main MS Applications. Understands document processing principles, and practices. Experience with EDMS is strongly recommended. 0 - 2 years of clerical experience is required for this position. Engineering and/or construction office background with direct knowledge of vendor and engineering documents is preferred. |
